You are blessed...

If you are sitting at a computer reading this, you are blessed. If you live in a your own place, or with parents, you are blessed. If you are in school, of graduated, you are blessed. If you have family and friends that love and support you, you are blessed.

Yesterday I spent 2 hours at a domestic violence shelter where woman live with their children in order to get away from abusive relationships. The apartments have three beds in the common area, a room with 2 bonks, a small kitchen, and one small bathroom. These women literally walk in with the clothes on their backs and all this combined makes you look at your life and realize how luck you are. So next time you complain about not being able to go to that concert, just shut it... b/c there are families that can even afford to put food on their tables.

Lastly. With Veterans Day coming up we should really take a moment to acknowledge what the military has done for us. If you want to get some chills watch this commercial. It will make you cry and/or feel a little more patriotic...
